Welcome

I’m Danni Harte, the founder of Bridging the Gap SEND Services, established to support children, families, and schools with clear, practical SEND guidance at the point it is most needed. I believe that early understanding, collaboration, and realistic support can make a meaningful difference to children’s outcomes and wellbeing.

Why I Started Bridging the Gap

After many years working in primary headship, I saw first-hand the challenges children with additional needs, their families, and schools often face. Long waiting times, complex systems, and uncertainty can delay the support children need and place additional pressure on families and school staff alike.

I wanted to create a service that could support all parts of the picture—children, families, and schools—by offering timely insight, clear guidance, and practical strategies that lead to meaningful next steps. Bridging the Gap SEND Services was created to provide responsive, accessible support that helps everyone move forward with confidence.

My Background

I am an experienced headteacher and qualified SENCo, with extensive experience supporting children with a wide range of additional needs. I have worked closely with families, teachers, and professionals to identify needs early, remove barriers to learning, and help create inclusive, nurturing environments where children can thrive.

I am also a Designated Safeguarding Lead and hold an enhanced DBS, ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding, professionalism, and trust in all my work.

My Approach

My approach is child-centred, practical, and collaborative. I focus on providing timely and cost-effective support that leads to clear understanding and actionable next steps, rather than unnecessary delay or complexity.

My work is guided by a commitment to:

• Offering strategies that can be used immediately

• Working in partnership with families and schools
